The man is suspected of posing as a German politician in order to stage a “naked coup” against a resident of Londrina in the north of Parana. The woman claims she lost R$1,000 and was blackmailed with intimate photos she sent to the alleged scammer.

In an interview with RICtv, the victim revealed that the relationship began on Instagram and that she was attracted to his charm until they started chatting on WhatsApp. She said the suspect never called her via video link, but showed her avatars and another one playing with a dog.

After several days of messaging, the then German politician would promise to send luxury bags, jewelry, and clothes to be bought in Europe. He also promised to send 250,000 reais in cash. She will have to pay a deposit of BRL 1,000 to pay customs fees. She admitted that she had borrowed this amount and that she had been threatened over the phone that if she did not send more money, the FBI would investigate her for illegal transportation.

During a conversation between the two, she sent the scammer intimate photos and stated that he was threatening him to release the photos online. She still says he sent photos of him playing with the dog, but they never made a video call.

The victim registered a report of the incident, and so far the identity of the suspect has not been established.
