The Mozambique international took to his Facebook page to express his dissatisfaction with not receiving the trophy at the end of the competition, leaving the following message:
“It may seem unusual, but today I went outside and went to buy a trophy for the Top scorer of Mosambola-2022 from my own pocket. Correctly. I decided to reward myself. I think the saying “if you don’t do it for yourself, no one will do it for you” fits perfectly here. It’s not only about money, life is not only about that, there are small gestures and details that matter. For example, it is important for me when I retire to show my children, nephews, etc. my small (symbolic) conquests. And those who could legally provide for me are the regulators of our Sport. And they just didn’t do even a simple congratulations. But one way or another, life goes on, I am grateful to God and to all those who directly or indirectly helped in the process of this achievement, which legally does not deserve a reward. But it won’t affect my lifestyle and football life, I’m stronger than ever,” he said.
Isac Carvalho, who was managed by the Portuguese Nelson Santos (left Lokomotiv) in the season ended last Sunday, reaches the top scorers for the second time, scoring 13 goals in 2014 in the service of Maxakena.
It should be noted that the Mosambican Football League (LMF), the governing body of Mosambola, has set 15 goals as the limit for awarding top scorers in Mosambola.
