A group of sports partners is deeply outraged by the fact that Rogerio Alves, Chairman of the Board of the General Assembly (MAG) dos Leoins, did not include their proposal on the agenda of the extraordinary meeting on the 23rd. propose and vote on an amendment to article 49 of the statute, which deals with the electoral process.
An application for this purpose was delivered to Sporting Services on December 10, 2020, and in it the applicants requested an extraordinary general meeting for this purpose on May 31, 2021, or, at most, until June 2021. There is no doubt that an extraordinary general meeting will take place on the 23rd. general meeting, and this issue is not on the agenda – the meeting will vote on documents at the last general meeting, which will be held on September 30, 2021, cases of reports and accounts for 2019/2020 and 2020. / 2021. In the case of the 2019/2020 report and invoices, it was rejected for the second time, as the partners had already given a negative opinion on September 16, 2020.
But what then does this group of partners intend to offer? In the current statute, article 49, paragraph 1: “The elections referred to the competence of the General Meeting are held according to the full list, which will include all the governing bodies provided for in article 34 of this Charter, taking into account that they are elected by the list, which gains more voices than any other … “.
