Barcelona’s financial crisis became apparent again this Wednesday. O Athletic unveiled the salary cap for Spanish clubs for 2021/22 and the Catalans saw the cap cut by € 280 million from last season.
This means that Catalans will be working with a salary cap of 98 million euros this season. Better looks Real Madrid, whose ceiling has increased by 270 million euros to 739 million euros. The Atletico Madrid Championship lost 81 million euros to a limit of 171 million euros.
Remember that La Liga calculates this value after a club audit, which takes into account expenses, profits, losses and debts. This salary ceiling includes amounts earned by players and technical teams.
