UThe 33-year-old Portuguese man died Sunday in a hunting accident in Valencia de las Torres, Badajoz, Spain.

According to the Spanish press, citing the Service 112 of Extremadura, the man was shot dead and eventually offered no resistance.

Radio Onda Cero reports that, according to preliminary reports, a man of Portuguese origin accidentally fired his own weapon while jumping over a wire fence.

In addition to the rescuers, there was also a Guardia Civil de Badajoz patrol.

According to the Spanish radio, the facts are being investigated by the judicial police.

The Braga press reports that the victim is Fernando Costa, one of the administrators of the Bernardo da Costa group from Braga.

In a post posted on Facebook, the group confirmed the death of the administrator.

“It is with great sadness and a sense of regret that we announce the death of one of our directors, Fernando Costa. This news takes us all by surprise and causes great horror in everyone, ”the message says.

“Fernando was an honest, cheerful man, friend of his friend and father of the family (…) Sincere condolences to all his family and friends who rallied around this great pain,” he concludes.
