In an interview with Diário, State MP-elect Gerson Pessoa (Podemos) stated that the Rogerio Lins government’s political group does not support either Lula (PT) or Jair Bolsonaro (PL) for the presidency. “We are neutral towards the president. Today we make a commitment to Governor Tarcisio. The entire government of Mayor Rogerio Lins came together and discussed what is best for our state and we are in this task force to turn the key here in Osasco and Tarcisio to be the winner,” he told Diário after the motorcade and rally at the candidate from Republicans to the government of São Paulo.
According to Gerson, the decision on who to support as president of the republic has been discussed in recent days in a political group. “We discussed this for several days and how best. We pray and pray that God will choose what is best for our people.”

Gerson also said that he did not risk hurting Osasco over political differences if Tarcisio won as governor of São Paulo and Lula won as president. “The Union will definitely win.
