The iPhone 14 Pro Max is the pinnacle of Apple’s new smartphone lineup, and it’s succeeded the autonomy champion in 2021. To see if the Cupertino company’s new equipment lives up to its predecessor, there’s nothing better than a new comparison.
The tests were conducted by PhoneArena and placed next to the iPhone 14 Pro Max some of the most influential models in the Android market. The results obtained demonstrate the clear dominance of the new Apple product.
iPhone 14 Pro Max rocks models like the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra
In this test, PhoneArena used two iPhone 14 Pro models alongside the Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7, Pixel 6 Pro, and Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. Even though they have the smallest batteries, Apple products are up to the task.
To evaluate the energy potential of these products, two types of tests were carried out. First, a typical web experience, one of the least demanding tasks for any smartphone, was simulated.
In this scenario, the iPhone 14 Pro Max comes out on top with 19 hours and 5 minutes. In second place is his brother iPhone 14 Pro, which worked for 16 hours and 18 minutes under the same conditions.
The first Android device to appear on this chart was the new Pixel 7 Pro, which came in third with a battery life of 14 hours and 19 minutes. At the end of the table we have a Pixel 6 Pro with 13 hours and 13 minutes.
Moving on to the second test, we see the behavior of the same smartphones when watching videos on Youtube. Once again, it’s Apple’s new super sumo to emerge victorious in this debate.
The battery life of the iPhone 14 Pro Max is 11 hours, followed by the Pixel 7 Pro at 9 hours 39 minutes. In this scenario, the iPhone 14 Pro loses to the new Google smartphone by 25 minutes.
Under these conditions, the last position is occupied by the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra with an autonomy of 7 hours and 27 minutes. A result that makes you think, since the South Korean model has the same battery capacity as the Pixel 7 Pro.
These findings confirm once again that optimization between software and hardware plays a very important role in hardware autonomy. In the case of the iPhone 14 Pro, they come with the most discreet batteries in this batch, and even so, they outperform their competitors.
