Left-back Mateus Pereira of the 21-year-old Cruzeiro is set to move to Portugal’s Wiesel. He is currently on loan at Guarani but intends to move permanently to the Portuguese club.
In recent weeks, Mateus Pereira has been approached by Boavista, also from Portugal, but negotiations have not progressed. Vizela, ranked 14th in the latest edition of the Portuguese edition, started the conversation and is close to hitting the gavel.

Matheus Pereira was a starter for Cruzeiro in the 2020 and 2021 seasons, but has fallen out of favor this year with the arrival of Uruguayan manager Paulo Pezzolano. Options for the left flank were Rafael Santos and Matheus Bidou.
Pereira made 25 appearances for Cruzeiro in 2020, scoring a goal and providing an assist.

This season, Mateus Pereira has played 21 matches for Guarani de Campinas and scored three goals. There were ten matches in Serie B, two in the Copa do Brasil and nine in the Campeonato Paulista.
