Monsana hosts the 25th National Parade of Portuguese Folk Costumes.

The parade will be attended by florists from all ethnographic regions, from Minho to the Algarve, including the islands. From the Portuguese communities scattered throughout the diaspora, several representatives should also be present.

“It will be a different event. We are used to seeing folklore dancing on the stage. But it will be another example of the richness of our traditions.”António Barbosa said.

According to the mayor, registration has already exceeded 800 people. By the date of the event, a thousand must be exceeded. The Mayor envisions a weekend of great animation and, above all, excellence for the local economy.

“Another weekend full of hotels, open restaurants and big money in our local economy is expected”concluded Antonio Barbosa.

As for the location of the event, it has not yet been officially determined, but everything points to Praça Deu-la-Deu.
