A Niantic, creator Pokemon go, recently was valued at $ 9 billion… The amount was achieved thanks to a new investment of US $ 300 million.

According to TechCrunch, the company’s plan now invest in your version of Metaverse, a concept that has been on the rise last time. However, as in the case of the game “Pocket Monsters”, the manufacturer wants to add a special and individual approach to it.

Thus, the Creator Metaverse format Pokemon go it would be a little different. Although I still stick to this concept in general terms, supporting the idea of ”merging” the real world with the virtual, the developer does not want to keep users locked up at home… In August, John Hanke, creator and CEO of Niantic, even criticized the use of VR headsets in the Metaverse as a “dystopian nightmare.”

In the “meta” universe of the company, players will be asked to leave their homes and visit places in the real world.linteracting with them through augmented reality. Niantic is working on an augmented reality platform based on a 3D map of the planet, according to a TechCrunch report.

“At Niantic, we believe people are happier when their virtual world meets the physical,” Hanke said. According to him, “the metaverse of the real world will use technology to improve our experience in the world that we have known for millennia.”

Despite some departure from the more widespread concept of the metaverse, the format Niantic has chosen could prove to be a viable and lucrative alternative. In the end, even with out of production Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, Pokemon go remains a huge success for the company, raising over $ 1 billion last year.

WhatsApp Update Allows Temporary Messages by default - current

An update was released yesterday for the instant messaging program WhatsApp (6), which will add temporary messaging features for new conversations by default.

According to the company, the new feature could be changed by users, who will determine how long messages are available in history. Available options: 24 hours, 7 days, 90 days, or disabled – while the messages remain available at all times.

Meta’s WhatsApp, previously Facebook, said in a statement that the change is aimed at improving privacy and ensuring that users can have “direct conversations.”

“Our mission is to connect the world with privacy. As our conversations increasingly take place in the digital world, we know how special it is to just sit with someone and talk in private, knowing that at this moment everything is just between you. The freedom that exists in the opportunity to open up, to speak frankly with confidence that this conversation will not be recorded or saved forever is priceless, ”the note explains.

Users who accept the new standard will be notified of the feature activation in a notification that will be at the top of conversations. Both recipients and senders will be notified of the length of the messages.

The temporary message function can also be used on media files such as videos, photos and audio files. The function, however, has already been performed earlier.

Halo Infinite prevents you from repeating campaign missions in a single save • Eurogamer.pt

Update: 343 says this will be implemented at a later date.

Update

343 Industries has confirmed that it is working on a feature that will allow campaign missions to be replayed in the same save.

343’s Paul Crocker confirmed to The Verge that they don’t have a date to report yet, but are working on it.

“We want to have a replay function that works well, and when you have more open play, it gets more complex,” Crocker confirmed.

Original

The Halo Infinite campaign is almost here, and Microsoft has confirmed that one of the features that existed in previous games in the series will not be available in this new release.

Like games like Destiny, and unlike previous Halo games, Infinite takes you to the open world and prevents you from repeating campaign missions in a single save. If you lose any of the collectibles, you can return to the mission location in this open world to retrieve it, but in the case of the first two missions, you will have to create a new save.

In statements to PolygonMicrosoft confirmed that this option is missing from Halo Infinite in the traditional way, which, through a menu, allowed you to repeat missions, select difficulty, and activate skulls.

“After the game is over, you have the option to continue exploring the scene, but for missions like the first two, where you are not yet in the ring, you cannot replay in the same game file.”

Microsoft makes it clear that you can collect audio files, hunt for targets and get what you missed, but you cannot repeat campaign missions in the same save.
