Xiaomi’s latest major smartphone launch has succeeded Mi, including the Xiaomi 11T, 11T Pro and 11 Lite 5G NE. These three models figure prominently in their high end 11T Pro models, albeit at a more attractive price point.
Over the past few days, we have had the opportunity to try out this smartphone, and today we present you with 5 reasons to add it to your wishlist.
# 1 - Excellent Performance
Consumers want a smartphone that completes tasks quickly, does not crash, and displays all content smoothly.
Or the Xiaomi 11T Pro fa-lo is in great shape.
The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 888 5G processor, the same as modern high-end ones. This is an 8-core processor with a configuration of 1x2.84 GHz Kryo 680, 3x2.42 GHz Kryo 680 and 4x1.80 GHz Kryo 680. The GPU is Adreno 660. The tested model came with 8 GB of RAM, but there is also a 12 GB version.
Xiaomi 11T Pro also comes with Android 11 operating system optimized with MIUI 12.5 UI.
In practice, the smartphone works great in more demanding games and does not overheat. If we use the camera mainly for video, we notice that this area gets hotter.
MIUI 12.5 has a number of animations that we've already seen on other lower-end models, but on this 11T Pro they're smooth and nice to keep awake, but the interface is easy to customize so it can be customized to your liking. and the needs of each user.
# 2 - Screen with refresh rates up to 120Hz
Xiaomi 11T Pro screen with a diagonal of 6.67 inches and AMOLED. Its resolution is 1080p and it offers a 10-bit color standard for over a billion colors. It is indeed a screen that offers a very good viewing experience, especially when combined with the adaptive refresh rate it can go up to 120Hz. For those who play, this 480Hz touch sensitivity detail is a big advantage.
This screen also has Gorilla Glass Victus protection and a small opening for the front camera. This is really a small thing compared to the best competitors.
In terms of multimedia content, it should also be noted that it comes with HDR10 + and Dolby Vision technologies. The screen also has a number of eye care features to protect users from eye strain, such as True Display, which automatically adjusts color temperature according to environmental conditions, and Reading Mode 3.0
It's important to note that with the 120Hz adaptive refresh option active, in addition to providing a more engaging viewing experience, static 60Hz does not have a noticeable impact on battery drain.
# 3 - Battery: 120W charging and autonomy
Following the previous example, another factor that should be highlighted in a positive way is autonomy. According to our tests here at Pplware, the smartphone works fine for a day and a half, which is considered normal. In fact, it suits most of the competition. Even on a day of intensive use, it is guaranteed to work for about 15 hours, that is, a whole day away from the charger.
Most impressive, however, is its charging speed with the 120W charger that comes in the box.
The 5000mAh battery is divided into two cells, which are charged separately to ensure there is no overheating. In fact, in our tests, the smartphone doesn't get too hot while charging. As for the charger, you can't say that ...
Xiaomi guarantees a 5000mAh charge in 17 minutes at 120W, however in our tests it took another 3 minutes! An absolutely ridiculous difference considering the impressive result. Moreover, after 5 minutes, HyperCharge technology provides 40% of the battery charge, and after 15 minutes - 80%.
That's why someone who forgot to charge their phone at night and wakes up in the morning without a battery, brushes their teeth and puts on their clothes to go outside, stays charged all day.
# 4 - Cameras and capture modes
Before we talk about the interesting capture modes that come with the new 11T Pro, it is necessary to reveal the full specs of the cameras that come with this smartphone.
Main camera (rear)
Large Angle: 108 MP, f / 1.8, 26mm, 1 / 1.52in, 0.7μm, PDAF
The camera app has no secrets, it's easy to use, it has the most popular modes available with a simple swipe of your finger, and other modes on the screen to the right of all options. There's a Pro mode that lets you tweak all of the shooting options, quick pick options like flash, HDR, AI or filters in the upper zone and shutter in the lower zone.
When it comes to capture modes, some of them deserve special attention. First of all, it should be noted that the main camera shoots at 12 MP by default. However, shooting at 108 MP is possible, which ensures the highest quality photographs. However, this additional quality brings more space. In this mode, digital zoom photos are preferred.
Photos in portrait mode are pretty good quality, although the outlines have a slight blur effect that other high-end smartphones have already been able to overcome. It's the same with the selfie camera when portrait mode is activated, but here the blurring of the edges is even more noticeable.
Super Macro mode delivers incredible detail in your photos that outperforms the competition. In night mode, the results are good, the details are well reproduced, and there is no grain in the photos.
The smartphone records in 8K format at 30 frames per second, however the results are not impressive, the recording time limit is 6 minutes (which is normal), and the space occupied is too large. In 4K, details are rendered in excellent quality, which is the ideal resolution for recording on this smartphone with good stability.
In addition to information, although not a positive aspect, the Movie Effect and Vlog modes offer the user the ability to create videos with effects typical of these universes. However, artificial intelligence used in this context still needs improvement.
# 5 - Audio
To complete these 5 important features to consider when choosing the Xiaomi 11T Pro, it remains to talk about the sound that it is capable of reproducing. The smartphone reproduces sound in stereo and is equipped with harman / kardon technology and Dolby Atmos support, which guarantees really the best sound quality.
In practice, the sound reproduced is immersive, with very noticeable bass and balanced mids and highs.
The Xiaomi 11T Pro is a very sophisticated smartphone with the highest performance, incredible charging speed, it is capable of taking good quality photos and still has many other features that make it a great option on the market.
However, its price is relatively lower than other offerings on the market with similar characteristics. It is a smartphone priced at around 650 euros for the 8GB + 128GB version and 690 euros for the 8GB + 256GB version.
Portuguese 3D printer startup Blocks will release a new model, the Blocks R21, which is due to hit the market in September. Fortunately, we were able to test the device already in its final version, which showed an impressive evolution compared to the previously tested model. One MKII.
This new printer features an all-aluminum construction, an LCD touch panel that allows you to control all printer settings. Among them is the calibration of the print tray, which, in addition to heating, has a metal coating with a texture that greatly contributes to the adhesion of the filament during printing.
Another important detail is the integration of all the main printing elements in one module, such as a two-block extruder and a hot end. The latter has a threaded screw for quick replacement, which allows you to replace the module with another one with a nozzle that is compatible with a particular type of filament. The variation can be from 0.2 to 1 mm – the hot end supplied with the printer is equipped with a 0.4 mm nozzle. This is to provide better print quality based on filament type, from traditional PLA to ABS, Flex, PETG, nylon, fiberglass, carbon fiber reinforced PET, PLA with metal or wood.
Print area: 210 x 300 x 250 mm print speed: 60 mm/s Connections: USB, SD card, WiFi Compatibility: Windows, MacOS, Linux Additionally: power cord, USB cable, USB stick, spatula, tweezers, calibration paper, adhesive spray, Dimensions: 470 x 350 x 490 mm Weight: 18 kg
Virtual RAM, also known as RAM Plus – is a memory expansion feature that is increasingly used in cell phones from major manufacturers. brands like Samsung e xiaomi to make the feature available on some smartphones, such as Galaxy devices in the case of the South Korean one, and some models of the POCO, Redmi and Mi series, on the Chinese side. The function uses the free part of the cell’s memory to expand the RAM and thus improve the performance of the device. OUR Apple also recently announced such a feature for ipad.
The iPhone manufacturer revealed the functionality during the presentation of new items iPadOS 16 at the beginning of June. The operating system update will bring for those devices that are equipped with M1 or M2 processors, the replacement of virtual memory. According to Apple, the update will use ipad offer up to 16GB of storage to help run the heaviest apps like phones do android.
RAM (meaning “RAM” in English) is a type of component that stores data used by the system, allowing you to quickly access that information when needed. In order to make its virtual expansion, the smartphone will be able to virtually allocate the amount of internal memory of the mobile phone, determined by the manufacturer, in RAM and thus help in the performance of the device when using heavier applications.
Virtual RAM is not native to devices and became available after a software update. That is, everything will depend on how up-to-date the user’s operating system is, and even so, this is a feature that is far from being released to everyone. The available size depends on the smartphone. when Samsungfor example, Galaxy A52S can be used additionally up to 4 GB, but Galaxy A53 you can use up to 8GB more via RAM Plus.
when Applewhich provides additional memory for iPad models only ipad 11″ Pro (3rd generation), ipad 12.9″ Pro (5th gen) and ipad Air 5th generation, equipped with the giant’s own processors, will be able to use this feature. OUR xiaomi more democratic, with more than 30 compatible devices, including Xiaomi Mi 11, Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G, Poco F3 and others.

Benefits of using virtual RAM
Among the benefits of enabling virtual RAM is the ability to run multiple applications at the same time without crashing, as the system allocates storage according to the needs of the device – but, of course, within the limit set by the manufacturer. Heavier applications that require more from smartphones can be downloaded and used without delay.
in devices android, the choice of the amount of memory plus is made by the user in the memory settings, but cannot be disabled. On a Galaxy A53 5G phone from Samsungfor example, you can choose to use 2 GB, 4 GB, 6 GB, or 8 GB, which will prevent the system from using more internal memory than the user actually wants to free.

Disadvantages of using virtual RAM
Despite the performance benefits, there are some limitations that the user must be aware of before enabling a significant amount of virtual RAM. First, even with the addition of RAM, the performance is not the same as the physical version. It is also not possible to disable this feature on devices that support this feature.
That is, if your phone has 128 GB of internal storage, at least 2 GB will be dedicated to the device’s virtual RAM, which will reduce the space to 126 GB. Also, using this feature to use a heavier application may result in performance degradation of other applications running in the background.
It is important to note that in order to use this function, the mobile phone must have free internal memory, that is, it cannot be occupied by files of any nature or systems. Otherwise, the function cannot be activated. on the site Samsung, the manufacturer itself warns of the limitation “RAM Plus is a technology that uses part of the smartphone’s internal memory as RAM. You must have free space on the internal memory, ”is written in small print on the manufacturer’s website.

How to find out the amount of virtual memory on your mobile
To check if virtual RAM is enabled on devices from Samsung, just go to Settings > Device & Battery Support > Memory > RAM Plus. There you can view and even select the amount of internal memory that will be available depending on the device model.
for instruments xiaomi, the path is almost the same: Settings > Advanced settings > Memory expansion and enable the function. On devices from both manufacturers, you must restart the cell phone after activating or selecting the amount of virtual RAM to use. When iPadOSYes Appledespite what has been announced, this feature will only be available when the new operating system becomes available for new devices, which should happen in the second half of the year.
