For two days, Lucia Mascareñas participated as a guest in the VIII Seminar for Portuguese Language Teachers in Venezuela, a virtual event dedicated to the main characteristics of multilingual and intercultural education, potential, historical and cultural content, resources and didactic strategies for teaching history and culture. culture.

“Venezuela is on the right track and this is a great time and a great opportunity to invest in it and give these fantastic and hardworking teachers the tools they need,” he said.

Lucia Mascarenhas explained that “I expected less receptivity,” but found “more enthusiasm, more motivation.”

“Teachers are looking forward to support, alternatives, (…) and eventually I changed my teaching from one day to another to be able to provide resources, even free, readily available, to be able to help them with this,” said is he.

The teacher explained that local teachers are looking for more modern knowledge “in order to understand what Portugal is today, what is happening, what content they can pass on to students.”

“I found extremely motivated teachers, (…) a deep interest, a great desire to do their best work. I was very happy and very surprised, ”she said.
