The Portuguese government has extended the validity of the citizen card until December 31 due to restrictions on services provided by public services caused by the covid-19 pandemic.

This decision does not apply to a passport that has not been renewed.

Since the UK government resumed international travel on Monday for nonessential reasons and Portugal was greenlisted to exclude quarantine upon return to the UK, many Portuguese have sought information about travel with expired documents.
