OnePlus has begun focusing on cheaper smartphones in recent months, but that doesn’t mean the brand is less committed to flagships. OnePlus 8T is codenamed Kebab and now Android Central shared some key details.
The OnePlus 8T boasts a 120Hz display and Snapdragon 865+ processor.
Original OnePlus 8 equipped with a 6.55-inch display and OnePlus 8T will follow suit. But to better compete with other premium smartphones, this time the 90Hz smooth refresh rate has been raised to 120Hz.
Nothing is known about the front camera yet, but a source of the leak claims that the OnePlus 8T will have a quad camera setup on the back. It consists of a 16MP ultra wide angle camera, a 5MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor.
The OnePlus 8T looks set to ship with Android 11 and OxygenOS 11 right out of the box. This comes as no surprise considering the OnePlus T-branded annual releases always come with the latest version of Android.
OnePlus 8T announcement and release date
OnePlus reportedly plans to unveil the OnePlus 8T in late September or early October. It matches perfectly with OnePlus 7T launch schedule last year. An exact release date has not been announced, but it should be shortly after the presentation.
There is no word about the more powerful OnePlus 8T yet.
