Juicy OnePlus 8T 5G leak reveals key specs: quad camera setup, 120Hz display and more

OnePlus has begun focusing on cheaper smartphones in recent months, but that doesn’t mean the brand is less committed to flagships. OnePlus 8T is codenamed Kebab and now Android Central shared some key details.

The OnePlus 8T boasts a 120Hz display and Snapdragon 865+ processor.

Original OnePlus 8 equipped with a 6.55-inch display and OnePlus 8T will follow suit. But to better compete with other premium smartphones, this time the 90Hz smooth refresh rate has been raised to 120Hz.

OnePlus has also opted for a slightly flatter panel, according to recently leaked renders. This is paired with more rounded corners, bezels that feel a little thinner, and a small hole for a selfie camera.

Nothing is known about the front camera yet, but a source of the leak claims that the OnePlus 8T will have a quad camera setup on the back. It consists of a 16MP ultra wide angle camera, a 5MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor.

The main camera is again a 48MP sensor, though OnePlus obviously opted for a newer image sensor that should give better photos than the original OnePlus 8 model.

As for the rest of the specs, the OnePlus 8T comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage as standard. Historically, other storage configurations should be available at startup.

The OnePlus 8T looks set to ship with Android 11 and OxygenOS 11 right out of the box. This comes as no surprise considering the OnePlus T-branded annual releases always come with the latest version of Android.
