Republican internal polls signal Democratic defeat

Perhaps, it is not surprising that when one party issues more internal polls than is normal, it is good for their party. Parties tend to release good polls when they have them. Since 2004, there has been an almost perfect correlation (+0.96 on a scale of -1 to +1) between partisan polls released by Democrats and November the results.

At present, Democrats and liberal groups release more surveys than Republicans, which show public opinion polls showing Democrats are doing well supported by what parties see in their own numbers.

Democratic and liberal groups have issued 17 House poll taken in April or later. The group that is on the same level as the Republicans has issued 0. That’s a very bad ratio for Republicans.

Interestingly, the Republicans were the ones who dominated the voting landscape in the first quarter of this year. From January to March, Republican and conservative groups released 10 polls compared to Democrats 2.

April’s turning point lined up well when the coronavirus pandemic made headlines this year. That’s when President Donald Trump’s approval rating began almost continuous decline which remains unshakeable.

In other words, it makes perfect sense that Democrats have begun to dominate the DPR voting landscape in recent months. They have a lot of good news for their side that they want to get out in public. Meanwhile, Republicans are likely to see numbers that won’t make them look good.

Now, you might be wondering if internal polls in all states show the same thing. However, presidential elections are largely won at the state level. Unfortunately, the presidential campaign did not release their own data, and partisan polls from all states lacked the opportunity to form narratives because there were so many public opinion polls. However, there are some outside groups that release data, and we mostly see the same picture as the district data depiction.

Since April, Democratic or liberal groups have released 30 opinion polls across states in the presidential election. Republicans have issued only 13. That means the Democratic portion of the entire state’s internal polls has been 70%.

All but four of the nine conservative or Republican-sponsored polls come from monthly PAC Restoration release. And if anything, this group-sponsored poll is the worst for Trump recently.
This reminds me of what happened two years ago. Almost universally, Democrats are the ones who publish their DPR polls in public. They got 40 seats in the DPR. Democrats also won the popular vote of the House with 9 points.

Indeed, the 2018 example speaks of a larger pattern since 2004. Although Democrats tend to publish more internal polls publicly, they do very well when the profits are very large.

When Democrats issue 70% or more of the DPR’s internal polls, there is a big swing in their direction in terms of general elections. Since 2004, the Republican Party has not published 70% of the DPR’s internal polls. The only time anyone was close to this in their (2010), they took more seats in the DPR than in elections in the past 70 years.

When Democrats issue around 60% of the DPR’s internal polls, the national environment usually does not change from previous elections.

Whatever is lacking and the Republicans will probably do well, such as the 2010 elections mentioned above when the Democrats from the House’s internal poll released to the public were only 35%.

Democrats will definitely take on a political environment that is largely the same as in 2018. The figures that came out recently indicate it could be better for them. They point to the national political environment where they are favored by double digits.

For Republicans, something needs to change or they will explode next November.

Maestro de Braga is the first Portuguese in the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba.

Maestro de Braga is the first Portuguese in the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba.

Maestro Filipe Cunha, Artistic Director of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Braga, has been invited to conduct the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra, as announced today.

According to a statement sent by O MINHO, “he will be the first Portuguese conductor to conduct this orchestra in its entire history.”

In addition to this orchestra, the maestro will also work with the Lyceo Mozarteum de la Habana Symphony Orchestra.

The concerts will take place on 4 and 12 March 2023 at the National Theater of Cuba in Havana.

In the words of the maestro, quoted in the statement, “these will be very beautiful concerts with difficult but very complex pieces” and therefore he feels “very motivated”.

From the very beginning, Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 will be performed by an Italian pianist (Luigi Borzillo), whom the maestro wants to bring to Portugal later this year. In the same concert, Mendelshon’s First Symphony will be performed.

Then, at the second concert, in the company of the Mexican clarinetist Angel Zedillo, he will perform the Louis Sfora Concerto No. 2. In this concert, the maestro also conducts Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony.

“This is an international recognition of my work. An invitation that I accept with humility and great responsibility. I was surprised to learn that I would be the first Portuguese member of the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra. This is a very great honor,” the maestro said in a statement.

“I take with me the name of the city of Braga and Portugal with all the responsibility that goes with it, and I hope to do a good job there, leaving a good image and putting on great concerts. These will be very special concerts because, in addition to performing pieces that I love, especially Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky, I will be directing two wonderful soloists who are also my friends. It will be very beautiful,” concludes Filipe Cunha.
