Podcast Joe Rogan gets a new home on Spotify.
“The Joe Rogan Experience,” one of the most popular podcasts in the world, will be an exclusive Spotify.
Digital music services announced Tuesday that they signed a podcast for an exclusive multi-year license agreement. This series has been the most searched for podcast on Spotify, according to a press release.
Until now, Rogan’s shows have never been available on Spotify. But starting September 1, podcasts will be available on Spotify as well as all other platforms, Rogan tweeted. At the end of the year, it will move exclusively to Spotify.
Both full audio and video will be available through Spotify. Listeners don’t have to pay to access episodes but must be Spotify users.
Rogan, 52, will still have full creative control of the show, according to a press release.
Last year, Said Rogan the program reaches around 190 million downloads per month. Moving an event to Spotify will give more than 286 million active users of the platform to the show.
The host recently faced several reactions from fans for bragging about his ability to get several corona virus tests on his podcast episode with guest star Chris D’Elia.
Rogan Youtube channel currently has 8.41 million subscribers, and is known to host well-known guests including Senators Bernie Sanders, Elon Musk and Russell Brand, as well as hosting the NBC “Fear Factor”.
