13-year-old boy among those arrested for child deaths in the UK

A 39-year-old man, a 30-year-old woman and a 13-year-old boy were detained by the South Wales police on suspicion of the murder of a five-year-old boy found in the Ogmore River in Bridgend, UK.

According to South Wales police, “three people were arrested, including a 39-year-old man, a 30-year-old woman and a 13-year-old boy, all from the Bridgend region.” The suspects are charged with the murder of a five-year-old boy.

The British authorities also said that the investigation was ongoing and asked the population who witnessed the crime to testify in order to get more information about how the child ended up in the river.

“We appeal to everyone who witnessed this crime or who has any information with a request to contact. We ask the public not to speculate about this crime on social media, as it is an active investigation, ”said Chief Inspector Geraint White.

The five-year-old boy, who was found in a river near Pandy Park, was identified as Logan Williamson, a missing child in the Sarn area of ​​Bridgend. The boy was later admitted to the Princess of Wales Hospital, where the child’s death was confirmed.

Locals and family friends paid tribute to the five-year-old by leaving several flowers and postcards on which Logan was found. Several soft toys with messages for the child were also left in place.

The Inspector General added that the child’s family is receiving support from psychologists from the South Wales Police Department, and they are “working to establish all the circumstances of his death in order to be able to provide answers to the family.”
