INTERVIEW >> Bernardo Silva is the protagonist of an extensive interview for O JOGO on December 26th.

How does it feel to have Ruben Diaz and João Canselo on the same team? Does he keep seeing everything in red and white?
– In Portugal, yes, but not here in England. Here he is bluer … We are three reds and whites in Portugal and blue and white in England. I played with Canselo for seven years with Benfica, from 12 to 19. I even trained with Ruben several times, but he is three years younger. But then I remember him very well. It’s always good with them.

In fact, I faced a similar situation when I came to Monaco. At that time, early on, I was fortunate enough to meet João Moutinho and Ricardo Carvalho, who helped me a lot to adapt to the club as this was my first experience outside Portugal. Until now, I have only played for Benfica, and it helped me a lot to catch João and Ricardo. There are days when you are more grumpy and people who know you well help you get through those more boring moments. It’s great that Reuben and Canselo are here in the City every day.

When you play in England, in the best World Cup, in one of the best clubs in the world, you don’t think about going anywhere else. Do you agree?
-Differently. Now I think this is the best championship in the world, I think this is the country where the level is the highest. Several years ago there was Spanish domination that lasted for a very long time. I believe that at the moment the English teams are the strongest in the world and therefore it is always good to be where the best football is played. In addition, personal decisions are also important, for example, closeness to family, etc. But I confess, one of my dreams was to be part of the best world championship.
